We have embraced the recycling concept wherever possible, all our standard liquid packaging and pallets can be returned to us for re-use within the UN guidelines on safety. Working in a potentially high risk industry we are aware of our responsibility to our customers and our neighbours. Our products are securely contained at all our locations, and are stored in segregated and bunded locations complying with the latest ESAD II guidelines.
We welcome the new REACH (regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and restriction of Chemicals) legislation for Europe that came into force 01/07/2007. We work closely with our principles to ensure the main aims of REACH- to ensure a high level of protection of human health and to the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, are achieved. To provide additional peace of mind for our customers and neighbours, our environmental management system is approved to BS EN ISO 14001:2004 standard and covers all of Monarch’s chemical activities at all of our sites in Scotland & Kent.
