As you would expect from a company like Monarch, every facility operates in accordance with stringent health and safety procedures – a fact that has allowed us to maintain an exemplary safety record in an environment where hazardous chemicals are handled on a daily basis.
To reinforce this focus on safety we also have a highly trained and experienced team of operations personnel who continually seek to improve our work systems.
We are participating in the European Single Assessment Document II (ESAD II) as part of our commitment to responsible care. This is an external audit programme independently reviewing the site operation safety structure and management systems.
In order to uphold Monarch’s safety record, and to promote good industrial practice while dealing with liquid and powder chemicals, we are committed to the Responsible Care Programme through our trade association.
We also employ a full time dangerous goods safety advisor and have a well resourced health and safety department providing emergency on-call assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
