Tetrahydrofuran

Tetrahydrofuran (THF) is polymerized under strong acidic conditions to form Polytetramethylene Ether Glycol ( PTMEG) which is used extensively to manufacture urethane elastomers and fibers. Tetrahydrofuran is a versatile solvent with numerous industrial applications including adhesives, vinyl films and cellophane, industrial resins, polyurethane coatings and printing inks,
