Monoethanolamine from Monarch Chemicals is a colourless liquid with a slightly ammoniacal odour. Also know as MEA, MELA or ethanolamine this product is obtained from the reaction of Ethylene Oxide and Ammonia.

For industrial applications, MEA is used either in pure form (concentration >99%) or as an aqueous solution of varying concentrations including 80, 85 and 90%.

Monoethanolamine has a broad spectrum of uses and applications and used as a feedstock in the production of detergents, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, corrosion inhibitors, inks, coatings and wood treatments. It also has wide uses within the agricultural industry in pesticides, fertilisers and in the production of other widely used agricultural chemicals.
